This week, we had an egg-citing time exploring our Easter theme! 🐣🌷
✏️Language Development:
We dove into Easter-themed books, explored vocabulary words and pictures on our Easter vocab board, and had fun manipulating letter blocks. The children also scribbled on bunny-shaped paper with markers, matched Easter pictures with words, and practiced writing on chalkboards with chalk.
➗Math:
Our little learners matched Easter eggs to colored dots, balanced eggs on a scale, counted and sorted them, and even sorted bunnies into ice cube trays!
🧪Science:
We did a fun and exciting egg-speriment using vinegar and baking soda! The children were fascinated by the fizzy reaction and loved watching what happened to the eggs during the experiment.
⚙️Motor Development:
To get moving, we walked across jelly bean cutouts taped to the floor, tossed eggs into baskets, scooped eggs from a big bowl, hopped like bunnies, and used cookie cutters to press shapes into play-doh.
🎭Social & Emotional Development:
We worked on turn-taking as the children balanced eggs on spoons and participated in a fun Easter egg hunt with their friends.
🎨Art:
Our creative activities included decorating egg and bunny cutouts, painting with balloons, and even painting with an egg!
📆Looking Ahead to Tomorrow:
We have more fun planned! The children will guess mystery items in a box for language development, match colorful eggs to their bunny friends in math, toss a bunny on a parachute and try an Easter bunny bean bag toss for motor development, and discuss family traditions in social studies. In art, we’ll be gluing orange squares onto a carrot cutout.
We hope everyone has a joyful Easter weekend filled with love and laughter! 🐰💛
