This week’s theme was mothers. In language development this week, we read various books about mothers, wrote on the letter M, created placemats, and wrote on boogie boards. In cognitive development this week, we identified different moms on cards, matched moms to one another, sorted flowers, and did a walking water science experiment. In motor development this week, we manipulated a tool bench, nuts and bolts, stacked nesting cups, and played with cupcake shape sorters. In social and emotional development this week, we played a catching game about feelings, and we played Mommy Says.” In art this week, we worked on our Mother’s Day gifts and cards. Tomorrow, we will color on paper and crayons for language development, attach different characteristics to moms in cognitive development, stack sound and sort stackers in motor development, and have music with Miss Mel for creative development.
