This week has been all about Christmas in July. Consensus says that we should have two Christmas’, one in December and one in July! We made a wish list if we could get one thing now. We colored our picture and silently wished that Santa was watching and listening! We did a lot of red and green activities like beading, patterning and sorting all week. At the sensory bin, we used Lincoln Logs to build cabins and then played with red, green and white pompoms. The boys and girls covered the roofs of the cabins with the white for snow and used the red and green to decorate it all. For art, we made a palm Christmas tree complete with coconuts and lights. It looks great on the classroom door. Our field trip on Tuesday was to the Children’s Museum! We could have spent all day there and it would not have been long enough. We started off in the water room. There is really so much to do there, our friends were going from sink to sink exploring. We also did the pretend room and the music room, complete with costumes and instruments. We ended our day at Lakewood Park. Wednesday was our usual swim day and of course, we showed off all the things we have all been learning in our own swim lessons. There are some true “fish” out there! We will be ending our week with a trip to play soccer at the Force facility and decorating some Christmas cookies.
