Do Re Mi…

Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do! This week was all about the music. As many may know, we love to listen to music here in pre-k. This week we listened to many different genres from classical music all the way to opera. We played a few guess the song and instrument games via the I-pad this week as well. At the language table, the children worked on their letter writing, played some music BINGO and put some microphones in ABC order. At the math table, the children played some awesome beats by picking up a card and the number on the card determined how many times you hit the sticks together. The children also worked on making patterns with musical notes. We also had some friends bring in their instruments from home! It was fun to hear them play. At the science table we had our own xylophone….just need some Mason jars, water and to make it fun…food coloring! At the art table, the children painted with drumsticks, created their own record from a paper plate and created their own microphone out of foil and a craft roll. This week we had two awesome field trips…we went to Every Child’s Playground in Avon and Rocky River Beach Park. We will end our week with our friends from H2O (help to others) and work on activities with them. We hope the children felt their inner rockstar this week and enjoyed learning and playing music with us. We hope you all have a wonderful and fun filled weekend! Stay Cool out there.
