Squares, triangles, circles, blue, red, and green! This week was all about shapes and colors. We began our week with the color blue! We made blue circles at art, wrote color words, and matched the bears. On Tuesday we wore the color red and at the art table created our own picture with red construction paper, played color and shape BINGO and played with the shapes and pegs. On Wednesday we got into the St. Patrick’s Day spirit and wore our best green clothes. On this day we worked on color matching at the math table and word puzzles at the language table. The friends had fun with some green paint and rollers. On Thursday we wore yellow! Who doesn’t enjoy a little bit of sunshine! The children created the sun with some craft rolls and yellow paint, made shapes with marshmallows and toothpicks and worked on beginning sounds of the colors and shapes. The children played with some fruit loops and scoops at the sensory table and we have been working on not eating what we are playing with because that can spread germs. We also have been working on cleaning up after ourselves and pushing in our chairs when we are done at the table. The color and shape fun will continue into Friday where we wear orange! We will also end the week with our friend Miss Mel from the Beck Center teaching us some music. We hope to see you all at the Fall Festival! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
