A Wonderful Theme Week!

What a fun week it has been! Theme week is one of our favorites and our friends did not disappoint. This entire week we worked on number and letter recognition activities, wrote some words on our Boogie Boards and built with our magnetic tiles at the science table. On Monday we busted out our flannels and designed one of our own at the art table. Tuesday was book character day! We had Horton hears a Who, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom tree, If you give a Mouse a cookie, Elsa and Anna, and Wacky Wednesday! Our friends did a great job with this day! Moving on to Wednesday, we had formal day. The children made a collage of different objects at the art table, no worries we made sure we wore our smocks so we did not get our fancy clothes dirty. We had many beautiful dresses and handsome young men in their ties and suspenders. Thursday we brought a little bit of Western to LCCC. The children came in their best flannels and what we like to call wild rags (bandana) and their boots. Speaking of boots, the children designed their own boots at the art table! We also introduced the letter Ii for the letter of the week. We wrote Ii words and listened to Jack Hartmann letter Ii sound song. We will end this week with Jersey Day!! Even though it is a bye week for our Brownies…HERE WE GO BROWNIES HERE WE GO! WOOF WOOF 🙂 Have a fun and safe weekend everyone!
