Snow and Cold Winter!

The children have been excited to talk all things snow! Monday in art the children bingo dabbed mittens and in language the children matched mittens by letter. In math the children engaged in a snowman concentration activity. Tuesday in art the children glued cotton balls to construct a snowman. In language the children explored a snowy day letter matching activity by clipping a clothespin onto the matching letter snowflake. In math the children enge4d in a snowman number match. Wednesday in art the children began helping Miss Clementine with the gingerbread house and in language the children explored tracing curvy lines. In math the children matched snowflakes together. Today in art the children finished the gingerbread house, and in language they dictated what their favorite thing to do in the snow is. In math the children rolled a number die and then needed to cover the same numbers seen on their snowman. Tomorrow in art the children will glue together an igloo and in language they will engage in a snowman initial sound match up game. In math the children will look at hot cocoa mugs and talk about which ones are different and why, In the dry table this week the children worked with shredded white paper, tongs, bowls and bottles.
