This week in the infant classroom the theme is Black History month! We have explored quite a bit but here are a few of our favorites from this week. The group enjoyed talking about Garrett Morgan and his invention of the traffic light, while we talked about the colors green, yellow and red! We practiced taking felt circles in these colors on and off the felt board as well! The group also enjoyed exploring the stacking rings, and jumbo letter magnets on the metal cookie sheet with teachers, as we sang the ABC’s! We also explored community helper puppets and laminated pictures of families of different types and talked about what we saw in each photo! The infants turning one year old soon also practiced taking steps with the push cart in the classroom. It was fun to clap and cheer for our friends as they took steps. It has been a great week in the infant classroom, but we look forward to a new theme on Monday! Until next time, stay warm!
