We started off the week sharing our homework about our pets, and those that do not have pets talked about what kind of pet they would want. In art on Monday, the children created a folded paper stretch dog and in language the children dictated what kind of pets they have and their names. In math the children added spots to a puppy, using a spinner to tell how many to add each turn. Tuesday in art the children created a paper plate fish painting and in language they played fish letter bingo. In math the children made dog collars using string beads. Wednesday in math the children played a pet bingo game and in language they found the letters of their name on dog bones. Today in art the children explored painting with forks to make a cat and in language they matched the lettered cat to the lower case letter yarn. In math the children matched shapes to the pet animal. Tomorrow in art the children will finger paint a dog and in language they will practice writing pet words. In math the children will sort animals of ones that are pets and ones that are not pets. In the sensory table this week the children worked on their cutting skills, cutting scraps of paper.
