This week, we soared into our Superheroes 🦸‍♀️theme, and the kids had a blast discovering their own superpowers!
đź—Ł Language Development:
We read superhero-themed books, explored pictures of different superheroes, and had fun conversations about their powers. We practiced writing on S-shaped papers, manipulated wooden letter blocks, and colored with crayons—strengthening our fine motor skills while having super fun!
🔢 Math Fun:
Math time was full of matching and comparing! We matched superhero pictures, sorted colorful dragons into their matching houses, completed puzzles, and matched masks by color—building early logic and categorization skills.
đź’Ş Motor Development:
Our little heroes got moving this week! We tossed bean bags at “villain” cutouts, built and smashed block towers like the Hulk, rolled an action cube to act out different “superpowers,” and practiced fine motor control by threading pasta onto pipe cleaners.
đź’› Social & Emotional Development:
We explored our emotional superpowers by reading books about feelings and having thoughtful discussions. We also practiced taking turns while putting a cape on a Superman cutout—learning that teamwork and patience are part of being a hero, too!
🎨 Art Adventures:
Creativity flew high this week! We painted with different shades of green like the Hulk, crafted Captain America’s shield with red and blue squares (and a white star, of course!), decorated superhero masks with crayons and stickers, and made superhero cuffs using toilet paper rolls and paint.

- Language: Reaching into a mystery box and using clues to figure out “What’s in the box?”
- Math: Counting spiders (don’t worry—they’re pretend!)
- Motor: Striking superhero yoga poses
- Social Studies: Wearing superhero accessories and discussing what makes someone a hero
- Art: Gluing yarn onto paper to spin webs like Spider-Man!
