Dental Week!

We introduced the theme with various pictures of things you will see at the Dentist, people, songs, music and movement, short videos, practiced brushing our teeth with movements.

Art

Monday-painted with toothbrushes and toothpaste on paper

Tuesday- Tooth cu filled with cotton balls and painted white

Wednesday- 

Thursday-Finger panted on paper

Friday-Stamped with jumbo marshmallows on paper

Math

The children practiced naming their colors by using toothbrushes to organize in toothbrush holders, counting with small plastic teeth counters and teeth grid boards by placing them on one by one, we made toothpaste with baking soda, hippo mouth teeth counting with teeth counters filling up the whole hippo mouth grid.

Motor Development

The children manipulated red slime with small plastic counter teeth by pressing them firmly to make impressions, sand trays with glitter and toothbrushes to practice making shapes, lines and scribbles while building finger/hand grasp, the children practiced brushing their teeth with plastic vampire teeth/toothpaste and toothbrushes ups and down, side to side and around in circles, real egg brushing with homemade toothpaste, and practiced flossing with blocks, play-dough and string.
