📚✨ This Week in Our Classroom: Authors! ✨📚
This week’s theme was authors, and we had so much fun exploring books, stories, and creativity through hands-on activities!
🗣 Language Development
We read a variety of books by well-known authors 📖, colored with crayons 🖍️, wrote on boogie boards, and explored letter blocks—building early literacy skills while enjoying our favorite stories.
🔢 Math
In math, we sorted book characters by color and also practiced sorting animals by color 🐻🐶—strengthening classification and observation skills.
🧪 Science
We became little scientists by mixing different colored waters 💧🎨 and watching what happened when colors combined!
🏃 Motor Development
We got our bodies moving with animal movements 🐾, placed stickers on a poster board, carried stacks of books, and scribbled with crayons—working on both gross and fine motor skills.
😊 Social & Emotional Development
We read The Feelings Book ❤️ and practiced taking turns choosing a book during group reading, helping us build patience, confidence, and emotional awareness.
🎨 Art
Our artists finger-painted, sponge-painted, painted with brown paint, and used bingo daubers to create colorful masterpieces 🎨✨.
✨ Looking Ahead to Tomorrow:
- Language: Matching animals to build vocabulary
- Math: Comparing big and small books 📚
- Motor: A fun dance party! 💃🕺
- Social Studies: Talking about authors and books
- Art: Creating a tissue paper collage
It’s been a week full of stories, creativity, and learning—we can’t wait for more fun ahead! 💛📖🎉
