Hop! Hop! Hop! This week was a fun week filled with Easter fun! On Monday we began the week with a little bit of history of Easter and overall we discussed that Easter is a day to celebrate new life! We get new baby chicks and new baby bunnies and the flowers bloom. We also discussed what we do during Easter. For example, many of our friends go do an Easter egg hunt, go to church and then have dinner with family. This week the children worked on writing Easter words, ABC match with bunnies and carrots, and rhyming words at language. At math this week, the children worked on patterns with plastic eggs, jelly bean graphing, putting carrots in order 1-20 and we ended with an Easter egg hunt…where there were shapes in the eggs, when the children found an egg…they showed us and identified the color and the shape. At science the children had two different activities…one side was a peep experiment in vinegar, water and green juice…the goal was to see which liquid peeps dissolve in faster and the winner was vinegar. On the other side, the children had Easter eggs and placed them in water and observed which ones float and which ones sank (of course we put different objects in the egg). The children became little bunnies with the fun bunny ears at drama. We had fun dying some eggs as well this week to get the children in the Easter spirit. We also took a step back and finished our alphabet! We worked on the letter Zz. We ended our week with a special guest…Miss Raquel’s pet rabbit….he was soo cute! We hope that everyone has an awesome weekend and an amazing holiday! We will see you all on Monday.
