It was a week full of red, white, blue and stars and stripes!! Monday in art the children colored red, white and blue hats to wear. In math the children matched stars by color and in language they matched letters to lettered fireworks. Tuesday in art the children hand printed, and painted stripes to make a flag! In math the children wrote numbers in shaving cream and in language they sorted letter stars. Wednesday in art the children made cupcake fireworks! In math the children rolled a die to tell how many firework pom poms to take, and then counted the total they had at the end. In language the children explored words that A starts with. Today was a swim day, and so much fun! In art the children made red, white and blue collages and in math they worked on star number puzzles. In the block area the children worked with various style blocks that were red and blue. In the sensory table the children explored red, silver and blue streamer ribbons with felt stars. The children also created patterns as they strung red and blue beads on pipe cleaners, a great fine motor activity.
