We had such a fun and colorful week exploring colors and shapes across all areas of learning!

Language Development
The children enjoyed reading books about colors and shapes, practicing new vocabulary, and playing “I Spy.” They colored with blue crayons on circles, red crayons on rectangles, and discovered surprises in our “What’s in the Box?” game with green items.

🧠 Cognitive Development
We sorted balls by color, explored how water and food coloring freeze into colorful ice, experimented with shape sorters, and mixed yellow and blue paint to discover green!

🏃 Motor Development
The children hopped on different colored shapes, manipulated rainbow caterpillar gears, completed an obstacle course, and built coordination with sound-and-sort stackers.

💞 Social & Emotional Development
We played Ring Around the Rosie and explored emotions using mirrors—making happy, sad, and angry faces together!

🎨 Art
Our art projects were bursting with creativity: painting with sponges using yellow paint, gluing materials to create a blue collage, adding red tissue paper to construction paper, and using the green paint we mixed in science to make colorful masterpieces.

🌟 Looking Ahead
Tomorrow’s activities will include:

  • Matching pictures of items to their colors (Language)
  • Matching Sesame Street characters by color (Math)
  • Dancing with scarves (Motor)
  • Painting with oranges (Art)

It’s been a week full of discovery, creativity, and joy—our little learners are shining bright with all their colorful knowledge! 🌈
