Monday- Heart cookie cutter stamping with paint and colored paper

Tuesday- luv Bug- Glued various pieces to resemble a Luv Bug

Wednesday- Mini Luv Bug

Thursday- Luv Puppy- Glued heart eyes/mouth and long puppy ears to heart shape

Friday- Valentine Heart wreath- glued on various Valentine materials on a paper plate

Math

The children sorted conversation hearts by color into small valentine cups without using any color sample to match, wooden heart pieces with numbers 1-10 written on them to practice number recognition and counting the hearts while putting them inside plastic jars, counting Valentine straws one by one placing them inside clear valentine vases, kiss candy pieces with tongs and cups to practice counting one by one and count as high as the children can.

Motor development

We practice lacing with felt heart lacing cards and pipe cleaners in and out of the holes around the heart, heart foam sticks with foam blocks to strengthen finger grasp by pushing down into the foam blocks, and pulling up and out, heart bear toss- throwing bears up in the air and trying to catch them, the children passed out their Valentine cards by following teacher directions and dropping each one into all the Valentine boxes, paper with valentine stampers to stamp on paper griping the stamper with one hand.
