Spring is in the air…..? Eh, we had some warmer days this week but some days were cold with snow! But that did not stop us from celebrating spring. We started off the week discussing how we know when it is Spring outside. The children had many good answers such as the flowers start to bloom, it gets windy, it tends to rain a lot and most importantly, it starts to get warmer! The children worked on many fun activities this week in all of the areas. At the math table, the children worked on their measuring skills, counting skills and number recognition. At the language table, the children worked on their writing skills, ABC matching skills and beginning sounds. As always at the art table, the children became little artists to create tulips using forks, drawing what they like to do in the spring time as well as butterflies using a sponge. We also worked on our letter of the week which is Yy. Next week, we will officially be done with the alphabet but no worries, we will continue to work on our ABCs as the children continue in our room. We finally got some fresh air this week…it has been amazing! The children got to run and climb and even ride the bikes. We will end this fun week with music class. We hope that the children enjoyed bringing Spring into our classroom and we hope that the warm weather will continue to make its way to us. We hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Can’t wait to boogie with you at the family formal 🙂
