Hoppy Easter everyone! This week we celebrated Easter all week long. We began the week by getting a little background of Easter. For those who go to church, we know that Jesus has risen but to make it simple for our friends, we talked about how new life happens with baby chicks and lambs and bunnies. We talk about it being new beginnings. From there we worked on letter recognition, writing, beginning sounds and played some Easter BINGO at the language table. At the math table, the children worked on patterns, sorting, counting and number recognition. The children worked hard at the art table this week by using q tips to design an egg, made a baby chick using a fork, and painting their very own Easter eggs. We took some time to go around the world to see how everyone else celebrates Easter and we all have a common theme…eggs! Many places have parades, many places have Easter egg hunts and many places have Easter egg races. We also finished our alphabet! But that does not mean we are done learning! We hope that the children enjoyed Easter this week and that your holiday is a great one! Enjoy the family time…I know I will.
