Boom! Goes the fireworks!! Even though 4th of July is over, we are going to celebrate it all week. On Monday, we went back in time and learned a little bit about why we celebrate the 4th of July. We also mentioned to the children that another name for this day is Independence day and we they learned that is the time in 1776 that America gained their freedom from Great Britain. Even though our room was under construction with the new flooring, we were still able to work on our number and letter recognition as well as creating some fireworks at the art table using craft rolls. The children also had some fun splashing around for water play day! We will be making our way to Botanical Gardens for our field trip this week and then have a chill Friday at the center. We hope that everyone had a wonderful 4th of July and got to spend some quality family time. We are looking forward to finishing this week and starting a new and fun lesson next week. We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and stay cool out there!
