We introduce the theme with books, pictures and Hanukkah magnet symbols[ Dreidel, star, Latkes, candle, gelt, dove, jelly donut, present and miracle oil].

Monday- Dreidel- painted with white paint on Dreidel shape
Tuesday-Hanukkah candles- glued 8 on white paper
Wednesday- Star of David- glued on gold flakes
Thursday- Menorah handprints
Friday- Hanukkah candle- glue blue tissue paper on tube
Math
For math we practiced a lot of counting with various materials to practice in different forms. blue/white/silver pom-poms for comparing size and counting colors making separate piles, magnet horse shoe rings with magnet circles for science, mini marshmallow counting with piggy banks for one-to-one counting, gold coin counting with Dreidel paper bags and colored shapes with cookie sheets.
Motor Development
For motor development we strengthened our small motor skills/hands and arms with various materials and activities, some new and challenging. play-dough with real candle to press and make stand , we spun real Dreidels [small/large], sand trays with gold/silver straws to practice making lines/shapes, star craft sticks and foam rings to press into rings and coin drop with bottles to drop in and shake out.
