This week was full of luau fun! In art, we created tiki torches using toilet paper rolls, mixed sand with paint, decorated surf boards and designed a flower collage. We made our own leis for the fun on Friday and sorted flowers by color. We also traced letters in trays of sand to practice recognition of letters.
Our books for this week were “By the Seashore”, “This Beach is Tool Loud”, “Oh No, Narwhal!, “Bubbles and “It’s Nice to be a Narwhal”.
We will continue the fun on Friday by learning the hula and learning the limbo with the light up limbo stick! We will finish luau week with a big dance circle with all of the classrooms in the Great Room! Aloha!
