We introduced the theme with songs, pictures and kind, loving words we say to each other on a daily basis. We practiced matching colored conversation hearts on the word wall board to practice colors.

Monday- heart stamping with cookie cutters
Tuesday- Luv Bug- Glued on various materials to make a Luv Bug
Wednesday-Valentine’s Day- Decorated heart shaped glasses and passed out valentine’s
Thursday- Valentine Puppy- Glued on floppy ears, eyes and nose out of hearts
Friday- Valentine heart wreath- Glue on various heart materials to make wreath
Math
Sorting and counting colored conversation hearts to group and practice pairing same colors together, number wooden heart pieces with plastic heart jars to count and name number on heart, red rigatoni pasta with straws to fill up and count and practice with new 203 piece puzzle pieces.
Motor Development
Practiced lacing felt colored hearts with pipe cleaners to weave in and out, heart craft sticks with large foam block to push in and pull out using fingers/ hands to strengthen coordination, passing out valentines by taking out of bag and placing in boxes, re/clear shaped gems for sorting by [lips, diamonds and hearts] placing into heart cupcake cups and valentine stampers with white paper.
