This week in the infant classroom the theme is Dr. Seuss! We have explored quite a bit but here are a few of our favorite activities from the week. The older infants loved exploring mini Dr. Seuss books with each other and practicing flipping the pages and pointing to the objects on the pages! This was fun when we would next explore animal and career puppets and talking about similar occupations and animals we saw in the book like a train conductor from Green Eggs and Ham, or a Cat like cat In the hat. The infants also enjoyed reaching for different small objects like fish or sensory ball out of a jumbo sensory bin of shallow water! The group also enjoyed talking about bright colors like the colors of our jumbo pegs as we explored taking them in and out of the small holes of our peg boards! It has been a great week in the infant classroom but we look forward to a new theme on Monday! Until next time!
