This week has been all about what happens in the springtime. Since we live in the Cleveland area, we have learned how we can have ALL the weather in one week, not just spring-like weather. We did some research on different kinds of clouds. Most of the friends said that they don’t think they will remember the names of the clouds, but they like the big “fluffy” ones best because sometimes you can see different shapes or animals in them. For art, we made some umbrellas and raindrops. We also decorated a sign for our Special Friend Breakfast with some flowers and pretty colors. For math, we sorted and patterned with flowers pedals and played a fun path game. Language has been busy with writing practice and a few new ABC puzzles. The science table has a question on it, “Will the wind make it move?” You are to experiment with various items on the table and then blow on each item using the turkey baster as the wind. There are two columns, a yes and a no, and since we have been reading those words on our own, we can then place the item in the column it belongs in. We did some puddle jumping on paper puddles and ran from the “Easter Bunny”. We will be ending our week with a special morning of sharing breakfast with a “friend” and touring the classroom to show off what we have been doing. We are a busy bunch with so many likes and interests. We hope everyone enjoys their time with us!
