We introduced the theme with pictures, print and guess the vehicle sound? The children were able to hear the sound and guess what vehicle they thought it was.

Monday- Paper plate Police car

Tuesday-Painted with cars to make wheel tracks on paper

Wednesday-Traffic Light- glued circles to represent traffic light

Thursday- Glued materials to make a sail boat on blue paper

Friday- Train- glue various shapes to make a train

Math

The children practiced math activities with various materials like sorting vehicles by color to colored paper, matching colored cars grid, number boats to help recognize numbers and cork drop for counting number of corks and apple boat float.

Motor Development

The children worked with their fingers/hands to strengthen their fine motor skills, by counting plastic coins dropping in piggy banks, zooming cars with markers attached to drive and make lines/marks/scribbles on poster board, vehicles puzzles to manipulate and problem-solve, boat tracing grid boards to practice following lines/shapes.
