This week has been all about transportation! We have discussed different ways to get from one place to another. We thought of so many ways! We started with our feet! We talked about roller skates, skate boards and scooters. We moved on to bigger things like bikes and motorcycles. Then we talked about even bigger things like semis and garbage trucks. At the science table we sorted small toy vehicles into three categories: land, air and water. We sorted cars, trains, boats, planes and more! Of course these were all in various colors, so we got to sort by color too! After a few days of that, we experimented with ramps and cars. For art, we started our week off with a marker taped to a car. We “drove” the car around our paper and it made a design behind the car. We also drew our own family cars and made our own traffic signs. We also made some paper boats and will be ending the week with popsicle stick airplanes. Some of our math activities were to play a match game with several different modes of transportation and match up your car number with the corresponding gas pump number. We practiced our writing skills as we copied letters/words from traffic signs in the city. We also did a lot of circus practice! We are getting ready for the big day and can’t wait for our grown-ups to see us!
