Always an exciting theme in preschool to learn about, and talk about the circus. Monday in art the children painted with circus animal and train cookie cutters. In language the children engaged in a balloon alphabet memory game and in math the children matched cotton candy shapes. Tuesday in art the children made a paper plate clown and in language the children wrote letters in a tray of sprinkles with an ice cream cone. In math the children engaged in a circus bingo game. Wednesday in art the children explored fluffy paint and in language the children named circus animals and talked about the beginning letter sounds. In math the children sorted animal crackers. Today the children worked with play dough and circus animal cookie cutters and in language they practiced writing circus words. Tomorrow in art the children will explore painting with a balloon and in language they will dictate what they would be if they were in the circus. In math the children will match the corresponding number of popcorn to the popcorn bag. In science this week the children explored textured material and textured dominoes. In the sensory table the children worked with colanders, small tongs, bottles and circus animals in water.
