This week’s theme was summer. In language development, we read various books, used bingo daubers on the letter S, wrote on chalkboards with chalk, wrote on a poster board with markers, and wrote on boogie board. In cognitive development, we made ice paint, picked up insects with tongs, matched dominoes, and made popsicles. In motor development, we stuck straws in cups, did puzzles, completed a mini obstacle course, threaded beads, and stacked pool noodle pieces. In art, we painted with chalk and water, painted with our ice paint we made, paint our names on poster board, and painted with paint in a spray bottler. In social studies this week, we practiced our rights and responsibilities within a group by sitting on our own carpet squares. We also played with pool noodle pieces and sand in our sensory table and enjoyed playing football with coach charlotte. Tomorrow, we will write on paper with crayons for language development, place items on an outdoor sticky wall for cognitive development, have a summer picnic with play food for motor development, and paint on a sheet outside for art. We will also be swimming tomorrow morning and enjoying our popsicles we made.
