This week’s theme was construction. In language development this week, we read various books related to the theme, wrote on magnet boards, made letters with letter builders, colored on paper with crayons, and wrote on clipboards with colored pencils. In cognitive development this week, we sorted tools by color, sorted shapes in a shape sorter, inspected dirt with magnifying glasses, and did a dancing sprinkles physics experiment. In motor development this week, we did some exercises with coach Charlotte, played with soft Lego, stacked cups on top on popsicle sticks, used hammers and screwdrivers on tool sets, and manipulated magnet tiles. In art this week, we painted with red paint, painted with tire tracks, painted with dirt, and glued popsicle sticks onto paper. Tomorrow we will write on dry erase boards with marker for language development, manipulate puzzles for cognitive development, hammer tees into a box for motor development, and paint a house cutout in art.
