Math
The children practiced naming colors and shapes by dropping shape blocks into shape containers, named numbers and colors by placing colored chips on the gum ball grid, practiced naming shapes with magnet shapes on cookie sheets, and counting falling stars on number boards.
Motor Development
The children worked with various materials to practice problem-solving, working their small motor skills and practice new and old skills with various shape puzzles, red play dough to manipulate, cut with cutters and press with cookie cutters, button lacing with pipe cleaners for sturdy grip, yellow drawing boards to practice lines, shapes, scribbles and shapes to begin to make pictures, and star links to connect together by pushing and pulling hands, fingers and arms.
