This week’s theme was fall. In language development this week, we sang “five little pumpkins,” manipulated magnet boards, colored of “F” cutouts, manipulated letter magnets, and colored on chalkboards with chalk. In cognitive development this week, we compared piles of leaves, manipulated math tiles, did a baking soda experiment, and sorted bugs. In motor development this week, threw balls into baskets, stacked blocks, engaged in a wooden exploration with pop it’s., built with bristle builders, and interacted with pop it’s. In social and emotional development this week, we practiced putting on our jackets using the flip trick, and we played ring around the rosie outside together. In social studies, we worked on cleaning up assigned objects. In art this week, we made thank you cards for our guest readers, glued leaves on a poster board, painted with apple halves, and painted acorns. Tomorrow, we will color on leaf cutouts for language development, match different colored leaves for cognitive development, experiment with letter connectors in motor development, and paint pumpkins in art.
