This week in the infant classroom the theme is Community Helpers and Fire Safety! We have explored quite a bit but here are our crowd favorites from the week. The older infants LOVED trying on plastic fire fighter hats and looking at their reflections in the classroom mirror! We read several books about community helpers such as police officers, fire fighters and mail men and we even were able to listen to a firetruck and the sounds the big truck makes on the ALEXA! We talked about the flashing orange and white lights that we see during an emergency as well. The group also enjoyed making “badges” with yellow paint and star cut outs in a larger group, exploring warm and cold-water bottles and enjoying the fall weather outside on the infant patio with friends. It has been a great week in the infant classroom, but we look forward to a new theme on Monday. Until next time!
