It’s been a week all about nursery rhymes and what a fun time they have had.  We have read all kinds of silly books and talked about what they saw on the pages.  Our older children have been working on recognizing friends and body parts, pointing them out when asked.  Cotton balls were glued to paper to make “sheep” while we sang Baa, Baa Black Sheep.  They have shaken shakers and manipulated busy boxes to watch animals pop up and then disappear.  Rolling and throwing balls has been a big hit this week.  Puppets have been out to listen to and work on animal sounds, which some find so funny!  Fine motor skills have been worked on by rolling small cars down our large tube and stacking blocks as high as they can get them.  Our youngest babies are always working on tummy time, sitting, rolling and crawling and some are getting really good at it.  Music has been danced to and outside play is always a calming activity for them which they absolutely adore.  It has been a silly week but full of surprises and learning fun!  Next week promises more of the same, can’t wait to tell you all about it!
