It’s a week all about people from all around the world and we have been having so much fun reading and learning about people that have customs different from ours.  Fine motor activities have included stacking rings, lacing toys, removing toys from a basket with string woven through it, nesting cups, puzzles, pulling scarves out of balls, and tossing bean bags into baskets.  They have all had a chance to crawl through our tunnel where some loved it, some just liked watching their friends do it instead.  Playing outside in the leaves has been something new for them to experience and some have been busy practicing their walking skills while out there.  We have been singing songs that have them trying to point out their friends or different body parts.  Art activities included them coloring at the easel and applying glue to paper to stick other paper to it.  We have a wide assortment of books about babies from other countries and cultures as well as animals from different countries as well, that we have been introducing them to, with  most of them having very colorful pictures that  they were very interested in looking through and telling us all about it.   Next week, the focus will be on Halloween, without the spooky part of it!  It should be a lot of fun for them and us!
