Let’s take a trip Around the World! This week the children learned about different places around the world. We began the week by talking about the different people and looked at pictures of different children from around the world. We discussed that we all look different by the color of our skin and that we all had different clothes but we are all the same on the inside. We also took some time to see what classrooms looked like as well. We compared our room to their rooms via the I-pad. We came to the conclusion that are room is bigger than most of the classrooms from around the world. This week the children worked on letter recognition activities and writing at the language table. At the math table, we worked on number recognition activities and making patterns. The children were creative at the art table this week creating a Chinese drum, Henna art, using water colors to make the Eiffel Tower, and designing their very own Dala Swedish horse. We also worked on our letter of the week which was Gg. We read the Gg book, sang the Gg song and came up with Gg words for the chalkboard. We have been working on our count down for Halloween and…7 more days! We can’t wait!! We will end this week with our friend Miss Mel from the Beck Center. We hope the children had fun learning about other places around the world. Have a wonderful and fun weekend!
