This week’s theme was Luau! In language and literacy, we did boogie boards, drew with crayons on coconuts, threaded shapes, and drew with markers on flamingos! In math, we matched sunglasses, sorted frogs by shape, counted beanbags, and counted rubber ducks. In fine and large motor, we jumped in hula hoops, threaded flowers with pipe cleaners, did luau poses, and drove cars over sensory gel shapes. In social/emotional development, we danced with friends and learned to say hello/goodbye in Hawaiian. In art, we painted with flower stamps, made pineapples from our handprints, and drew grass skirts. Tomorrow we will do magnet boards, match flamingos by color, have a luau dance, and read about the culture of Luau!
