This week’s theme was Valentine’s. In language and literacy we wrote love letters, drew on magnet boards, traced hearts with markers, and played with felt boards. In math, we sorted red and pink bottlecaps, counted figurines, matched up halves of hearts, and sorted tiles. In fine and large motor, we did a Valentine’s freeze dance, rolled up cinnamon rolls, did hopscotch, and manipulated dinosaurs and houses. In social/emotional development, we made each other valentines and read and discussed “Can I Have a Hug?”. In art, we made valentine’s hearts, used heart rollers in paint, made a flower print with brushes, and used Love and Heart sponges. Tomorrow, we will draw on flower cutouts, sort conversation hearts, and do a heart scavenger hunt!
