Dental week! The children have been sharing their experiences visiting the dentist this week to go along with the theme. Monday in art the children made popsicle stick toothbrushes and in math they graphed teeth by number. In language the children used tooth letters to spell their names. Tuesday in art the children glued marshmallow teeth to a mouth and in math they engaged in a dental bingo game. In language the children matched tooth letters. Wednesday in art the children painted a dirty tooth with a toothbrush and in language the children practiced writing, and/or tracing dental words. Today in art the children glued pom poms to a tooth and in math the children matched numbered teeth to numbers on a big tooth. In language the children picked a letter tooth and practiced writing that letter. Tomorrow in art the children will decorate a tooth and in math they will sort items of what is good for your tooth and what is bad for your teeth.In language the children will hunt for letters in the classroom. In the sensory table this wek the children explored water with cups and fruit and vegetable counters.
