They all rhyme and that’s what we did all week! We have been so busy with rhyming words in books, in conversation and all over the classroom! We celebrated Dr. Suess by reading SO many of his books this week. If we didn’t get to read them all, we did an activity for it. We started our week with My Many Colored Days and colored a person form with how we were feeling at the time. We also sorted farm animals for the book Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You? The language table was busy with rhyming words. We have written out so many words, showing how the ending letters are the same and that makes them rhyme. Tuesday was all about Green Eggs and Ham! We had a small green “egg” snack and then dictated how we would make real green eggs and ham. At the art table, we rolled green eggs in green paint all over our paper. Wednesday was all WACKY! We brought in our homework bags and had so much fun giving clues to what was so crazy inside the bag. Everyone did an amazing job at our homework that many asked for more! Thursday was a different kind of day. Half of the class went to Playhouse Square for the play we missed a few weeks back. For the rest of the day, we heard the book Oh, the Places You’ll Go and told where we would go if we could go ANYWHERE we wanted. We also did some dot math after we heard the book Put Me in the Zoo. Friday, we will wrap up our week with more books, more rhymes and some sock matching for the book Fox in Socks and some fish art for One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. We got outside the beginning of the week! We got so excited for the warmer weather! Thursday morning’s snow and cold got us with some sad feelings again, but we know spring is right around the corner and we can’t wait!
