Welcome to the Big Top! That’s right ladies and gentlemen, this week was all about the Circus! Let’s start off with saying that the children have worked hard the past couple weeks practicing for their big show! We hope that you all enjoy. This week we dove into what a Circus was and as a class, we came to the conclusion that a Circus is where you go and see different people perform different acts. From there, we used our I-pad to watch acrobats, tigers/lions, elephants, and clowns perform. This week at the language table the children worked on letter recognition activities as well as writing the different Circus theme words. At the math table this week the children worked on number recognition and making patterns. We also worked on some simple addition with an app on the I-pad where you add the numbers together to make the flower grow. At the science table this week the children worked with the scale to determine which side weighs more by putting different amount of marbles in the buckets on each side of the scale. The children worked hard at the art table this week creating different circus theme art such as a ticket collage, circus tent out of construction paper and cotton candy out of cotton balls. We hope the children enjoyed everything they learned about the Circus and we are proud of them for how hard they have worked! We hope that you all have a wonderful weekend!
