This week’s theme was numbers, and we had so much fun exploring counting, sorting, and comparing through hands-on activities across all areas of development!

🗣 Language Development
We read a variety of engaging books, colored with crayons, and practiced writing on magnetic boards. The children also used yes/no cards to answer simple questions and named objects from a tray, building both vocabulary and comprehension skills.

🧠 Cognitive Development
Our little mathematicians counted and sorted stars, examined flowers with magnifying glasses, counted dots on dominoes, and conducted a water walking experiment, mixing science with problem-solving and observation!

🏃 Motor Development
We jumped into piles of leaves, practiced fine motor skills with lacing boards, hopped in boxes, and blew bubbles.

😊 Social & Emotional Development
This week, we counted how many boys and girls were in the class and shared a special baby doll circle time, encouraging nurturing play, empathy, and connection.

🎨 Art
Our art projects were filled with color and creativity! We painted numbers with fingerpaint, glued number cutouts onto paper, experimented with marble painting, and used bingo daubers to make number designs.

Looking Ahead to Tomorrow:
Here’s what we have planned to wrap up our week:

  • Language: Fingerplays and rhymes
  • Cognitive: Comparing buckets of dirt
  • Motor: Dancing to the Cha-Cha Slide
  • Social Studies: Talking about and counting our family members
  • Art: Stamping numbers onto paper

It’s been a week full of counting, curiosity, and creativity! 💛
