It’s gardening week throughout the center and with it brings so many different colors to light! We have cloth gardening tools out for them to explore where they can pretend to dig and plant seeds, they have thought it was a lot of fun. While outside they have explored sticks and leaves while we talk to them about what they are called and the colors of them. We have talked about the every changing temperatures outside and what we have had to wear each day when we do go out. They have played with shovels in our sensory bin and colored on paper at the toy shelf as a group. We have read books about all the different flowers to see as well as vegetables planted in the ground. There have been several fun songs about nature outside and what we can take from it while we are exploring. Inside, there have been nesting cups, discovery boxes, and shape sorters. Every time we get the bowls and lids out, they are so excited about putting items into them and shaking them as hard as they can to hear all the different noises that come out of them. The younger babies have enjoyed peek-a-boo and dancing with the teachers. There have been so many smiles, so much laughter and fun, and lots of new and exciting experiences! We can’t wait to see what next week brings!
