A fun week exploring music! In art this week the children painted at the table easels, they explored fun symmetry art, painted with scrapers, this afternoon they will glue music notes to paper and tomorrow do some cup painting. In math this week the children matched shapes in a concentration activity, they practiced tracing and writing numbers, they sorted fruit loops on a graph, matched instruments to their shadow and tomorrow they will play music bingo! In language the children have matched letters to letters on a music staff, wrote letters on chalkboards, listened to various instrument sounds and tried to name them and tomorrow they will engage in alphabet bingo. The children explored rice with spoons, bottles and funnels. In the block area we added some wooden color blocks, and we changed up drama to the post office. Sharing instruments Monday was fun too, the children had a parade through the great room and outside on the playground!
