This week has been a fun and exciting week as we explored the world of music! We learned about different musical notes, instruments, and the various instrument families. We also listened to many styles of music, including classical, jazz, ’80s hits, and today’s popular songs. The children even requested some of their favorite songs, making our music activities even more enjoyable!
We also enjoyed field trips to Play in Bay Park and the Cleveland Natural History Museum. The children loved playing on the giant climber and digging in the sandbox. During our visit, we saw cars from different eras, motorcycles, airplanes, and even toured the mansion. They especially enjoyed seeing Chief Wahoo and the tiny boat. There was so much to explore, and we always have a wonderful time visiting! The highlight of the day was riding the carousel—we had so much fun!
This week, we also talked about the different ways we can help people and animals in need, whether by supporting families, caring for pets, or protecting wildlife. The children remembered that the Lake Erie Nature & Science Center relies on donations to help care for its animals. We are still accepting donations through August 15. Thank you to everyone who has already contributed to this wonderful cause!
Throughout the week, the children practiced working together, taking turns, and sharing their ideas during our music activities and field trips. It has been wonderful watching their curiosity grow as they asked questions, explored new experiences, and encouraged one another. We are so proud of how kind, respectful, and enthusiastic they have been all week!
