This week is All About Me, and the children have been sharing fun details about themselves with their peers, such as what makes them happy, things they can do by themselves, their favorite food, places to go and more! In art this week the children have painted with loofahs, drew a self portrait, dot painted their names, explored people colored paint sticks and tomorrow they will paint at the table easels. In math the children have worked on counting skills with animal counters and a 1 to 1 correspondence grid, they worked on matching people countes to the people houses and matched different family pictures. Today they charted how many people are in their family and tomorrow they will practice writing and tracing numbers. In language the children have been exploring letter stencils, they traced the first letter of their name with stickers which incorporated some fine motor work. Yesterday they dictated questions about them and shared with the group. Today they matched letters to 3 letter words and tomorrow they will dictate why they are special. In the sensory table the children worked with gluten free noodles, bowls and scoops.
