What a fun week discovering what it means to be them with our theme All About Me!  Our favorite song right now is Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes and many of our older children are able to ask for it (in their own little way), and are getting really good at pointing out those exact body positions all while dancing and laughing.  We are getting our youngest, newest babies, acclimated to the classroom by talking to them one on one, rocking and singing to them, and being mindful of their needs being met with bottles and naps.  They have also played peek-a-boo and This Little Piggy which has elicited some cute smiles!  Our older children have played with letter magnets on a cookie sheet, stacked blocks, figured out our stacking rings, and stamped with letter stamps.  There have been puppets, songs, books, and flannel board stories.  There has been tummy time, sitting independently, and rolling over.  We sat in front of mirrors with all of them and pointed out what they could see of themselves and of us – a great way to learn more about themselves and others in their environment.  They have all been painting either on paper or inside a bubble wrap pocket, which has given us so many big smiles.  They all have been so busy, and our older babies are trying to communicate with us in so many different ways, that it has been a lot of fun to watch all the changes coming about as they all get a little older.  Next week promises to bring much more excitement!
