It’s all about the rhyming and the fun, silly back and forth of the stories that accompany them.  We have three new babies that have joined our room so there has been getting to know you activities and fun one on one interactions.  They are all working on rolling over, sitting, crawling, and pulling themselves up so there has been a lot of developmental milestones being covered.  We have used puppets to tell some of  these stories while also reading different books to them with sing song types of rhymes.  There has been mirror play, holding onto ribbons, shaking shakers, and watching bubbles. We have watched outside and talked about the leaves changing colors and the little critters they see running by.   The older children crawled through a tunnel and dropped cars down the cardboard tube.  They have also practiced using a crayon on paper.  They are practicing using their toothbrushes daily and learning how to sleep on a cot.  It has been a fun and busy week as everyone gets to know one another and we look forward to all the new and exciting activities that we have planned ahead of us.
