We have been reading some books sharing stories of children from other countries, learning songs they sing, seeing the clothes they wear, and learning about the different foods they eat. In art this week the children did some noodle art where they created fun designs with gluten free pasta on their paper to glue. The children painted with fall stamps and sponges, and they have practiced their cutting skills cutting out pumpkins and ghosts! Tomorrow the children will do some splatter painting! In language the children dictated how to make spaghetti, they matched greeting words from around the world and we practiced sating them and talked about the country they’re from. The children explore writing letters outside their name by writing names of their peers, and today they tossed bean bags onto lettered plates and identifies or matched them. Tomorrow the children will look at pictures from around the world and talk about what they see. In math the children traced numbers with pasta and explored a matching game of flags from countries around the world.
