This week’s theme was winter. In language we read books about winter, played with magnetic letters, interacted with felt boards, introduced vocabulary with our winter vocab board, and colored with crayons on paper. In math this week we matched different colored mittens and matched pompoms to buttons on snowmen. In motor development this week we threaded beads on string, played with waffle blocks, stacked tiles, played with puzzles, and manipulated animal connectors. In art this week we shook bells and sang Jingle Bells, painted with Q-tips, painted with snowman and snowflakes sponges, and used clothespins to paint with pompoms. Tomorrow we will play Snowman Says for language, feed a penguin goldfish crackers as we count them in math, use tongs to move pompoms in a bowl in motor development, and do a snowflake marble painting in art.
