This week the children explored activities according to the Christmas theme. Monday in art the children tore wrapping paper and glued to create a wrapping paper collage. In language the children practiced writing their names, one letter from their name per green triangle, to build a Christmas tree. Tuesday in math the children matched straw sizes to lines on a paper to create a tree and in language they engaged in a path game to get the letter ornament to the tree. Wednesday in art the children painted with gift wrap bows and in language they matched lettered ornaments. In math the children explored tracing numbers using coloired gems. Today in art the children glued tissue paper to a stocking and in language they dictated a story about if they went to the North Pole. This afternoon in math the children will engage in a visual discrimination experience where they will look at groups of elves and discuss which one is different and why.
